How Do You Build a Stronger Relationship With God After 50?
Getting Older Doesn't Have to Mean Simply Growing Older. It Can Mean Growing Deeper.
By Coach Marcus Jones
After 50...
you begin looking at life:
Differently.
You've lived long enough to experience:
Success.
Failure.
Love.
Loss.
Answered prayers.
Unanswered questions.
Unexpected blessings.
Unexpected disappointments.
You've watched people come into your:
Life.
And you've watched people:
Leave.
You've made decisions you're proud:
Of.
And probably a few you wish you could:
Change.
And somewhere along the journey...
you may begin asking deeper:
Questions.
Why am I:
Here?
What does God want me to do with the years I have:
Left?
Am I living according to my:
Purpose?
Have I spent enough time building my relationship with:
God?
And maybe the biggest question:
“HOW DO I GET CLOSER TO GOD FROM HERE?”
Here's what I've learned.
A stronger relationship with God isn't built simply by getting:
Older.
Age doesn't automatically create:
Faith.
Time doesn't automatically create:
Wisdom.
And going to church for decades doesn't automatically create a deep relationship with:
God.
Relationships grow through:
Time.
Communication.
Trust.
Commitment.
And consistency.
Your relationship with God is no:
Different.
And after 50...
you may actually be entering one of the greatest opportunities of your life to go:
Deeper.
Because you now understand something your younger self may not have fully understood:
YOU CANNOT CONTROL EVERYTHING.
You can't control:
Tomorrow.
Other people.
The economy.
Every health outcome.
Every business outcome.
How long you will:
Live.
But you can control whether you intentionally make room for:
God.
And maybe the second half of your life can become your deepest season of:
Faith.

QUICK ANSWER: HOW DO YOU BUILD A STRONGER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AFTER 50?
Start with:
Time.
Spend intentional time with:
God.
Pray.
Read Scripture.
Apply what you:
Learn.
Practice gratitude.
Serve:
Others.
Connect with other:
Believers.
Remove unnecessary:
Distractions.
Trust God through:
Uncertainty.
And keep:
Growing.
You don't need to become a biblical scholar:
Tomorrow.
You don't need to pray for three hours every:
Morning.
You don't need a complicated spiritual:
Routine.
Start where you:
Are.
Then become more:
Consistent.
Because strong relationships aren't usually built through occasional dramatic:
Moments.
They're built through repeated:
Connection.
YOUR AGE DOESN'T DETERMINE THE DEPTH OF YOUR FAITH
Someone can be:
70
and spiritually:
Stagnant.
Someone can be:
30
and deeply committed to:
God.
Years alive and spiritual maturity are not necessarily the same:
Thing.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH REQUIRES INTENTION
Just like:
Physical health.
Relationships.
Finances.
Business.
If you neglect something long enough...
it usually doesn't become:
Stronger.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD DESERVES INTENTION TOO
You make appointments for:
Doctors.
Business.
Haircuts.
Meetings.
Vacations.
Why not intentionally schedule time for:
God?
START WITH PRAYER
Prayer doesn't need to sound:
Fancy.
You don't need:
Perfect words.
You don't need to sound like the person praying at:
Church.
TALK TO GOD LIKE YOU BELIEVE HE'S LISTENING
Tell Him what you're:
Thinking.
What you're:
Afraid of.
What you're:
Grateful for.
What you're struggling:
With.
What you're hoping:
For.
PRAYER IS RELATIONSHIP
If the only time you talk to someone is when you:
Need something...
that's not much of a:
Relationship.
Yet sometimes that's exactly how we approach:
God.
“God, I need...”
“God, please fix...”
“God, give me...”
WHAT IF SOME OF YOUR PRAYERS SIMPLY SAID:
“Thank You.”
“Teach me.”
“Correct me.”
“Guide me.”
“Use me.”
“Help me understand.”
“Show me where I need to grow.”
Those are powerful:
Prayers.
DON'T ONLY TALK.
LISTEN.
Sometimes prayer becomes a nonstop:
Monologue.
We finish talking and immediately move on to the next:
Thing.
Try spending a few quiet minutes simply:
Still.
Thinking.
Reflecting.
Reading Scripture.
SILENCE CAN FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE IN A NOISY WORLD
We're constantly surrounded by:
Phones.
Television.
Music.
Notifications.
Podcasts.
Videos.
Social media.
SOMETIMES YOUR SOUL NEEDS QUIET
Psalm 46:10 begins:
“BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD...”
Stillness can create room for:
Reflection.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FILL EVERY MOMENT WITH NOISE
Sometimes turn everything:
Off.
And just:
Be.
READ SCRIPTURE FOR TRANSFORMATION — NOT JUST INFORMATION
Reading the Bible can become another item on a:
Checklist.
Read chapter.
Check.
Close Bible.
Move:
On.
But ask something deeper:
“WHAT DOES THIS REQUIRE FROM ME?”
That's where Scripture becomes:
Practical.
DON'T ONLY ASK:
“What does this verse mean?”
Also ask:
“What should change because I read it?”
My:
Attitude?
Words?
Behavior?
Relationships?
Priorities?
INFORMATION WITHOUT APPLICATION DOESN'T CREATE MUCH TRANSFORMATION
James 1:22 encourages believers to be:
“DOERS OF THE WORD...”
Not hearers:
Only.
That's the challenge.
READ LESS IF IT HELPS YOU APPLY MORE
Sometimes one passage that you actually:
Study.
Think about.
Pray about.
And apply...
can be more meaningful than racing through multiple chapters just to say you:
Finished.
KEEP A JOURNAL
Write down:
What you're reading.
What you're learning.
What you're praying about.
What you're grateful for.
Questions you have.
YOUR JOURNAL CAN BECOME A RECORD OF GOD'S FAITHFULNESS
Months later...
look:
Back.
You'll sometimes see things you didn't recognize while you were living through:
Them.
WRITE DOWN YOUR PRAYERS
Not because God needs documentation.
Because sometimes:
You do.
You may forget what you once prayed:
For.
THEN WRITE DOWN WHAT HAPPENED
The answer may have been:
Yes.
No.
Not yet.
Or something completely different from what you:
Expected.
GRATITUDE CAN CHANGE HOW YOU SEE GOD'S PRESENCE IN YOUR LIFE
Gratitude doesn't mean everything is:
Perfect.
It means everything difficult doesn't erase everything:
Good.
START LOOKING FOR WHAT IS STILL GOOD
Your:
Life.
Family.
Food.
Shelter.
Health.
Friendships.
Opportunities.
Lessons.
Another:
Day.
GRATITUDE TURNS YOUR ATTENTION FROM ONLY WHAT'S MISSING TO ALSO WHAT REMAINS
That's important.
THANK GOD FOR ORDINARY THINGS
We often wait for huge:
Blessings.
But ordinary life is filled with things worth appreciating.
A good:
Meal.
A conversation.
A walk.
A sunrise.
A safe trip:
Home.
DON'T BECOME SO USED TO YOUR BLESSINGS THAT YOU STOP RECOGNIZING THEM
What feels ordinary today may have once been something you:
Prayed for.
Remember that.
OBEDIENCE IS PART OF RELATIONSHIP
Sometimes we ask God for:
Direction...
while ignoring what we already know we should:
Do.
Forgive.
Tell the:
Truth.
Serve.
Love.
Give.
Apologize.
Stop doing something destructive.
DON'T KEEP ASKING FOR NEW INSTRUCTIONS WHILE IGNORING THE LAST ONES
That's something worth thinking:
About.
FAITH ISN'T ONLY WHAT YOU BELIEVE
It's also how those beliefs influence how you:
Live.
YOUR CHARACTER MATTERS
How do you treat people when nobody can help you:
Back?
How do you behave when nobody is:
Watching?
How do you handle:
Money?
Power?
Success?
Failure?
YOUR PRIVATE CHARACTER SHOULD MATCH YOUR PUBLIC FAITH
That's spiritual:
Integrity.
SERVING OTHERS CAN DEEPEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
After 50, you have something extremely valuable:
Experience.
You've learned things through:
Life.
Marriage.
Parenting.
Career.
Business.
Mistakes.
SOMEBODY NEEDS WHAT YOU'VE LEARNED
Maybe your next season isn't only about:
Receiving.
Maybe it's about:
Giving.
MENTOR SOMEBODY
Encourage someone:
Younger.
Teach what you've:
Learned.
Help someone avoid a mistake you:
Made.
YOUR EXPERIENCE CAN BECOME SOMEONE ELSE'S SHORTCUT
That's:
Service.
PURPOSE OFTEN BECOMES CLEARER WHEN YOU STOP ASKING ONLY:
“What do I want?”
and start asking:
“WHO CAN I HELP?”
That's a powerful shift.
JESUS MODELED SERVICE
Mark 10:45 describes Jesus as coming not to be served but to:
Serve.
That's a very different definition of:
Greatness.
MAYBE YOUR GREATEST YEARS OF IMPACT ARE STILL AHEAD
Not because you'll necessarily:
Earn more.
Own more.
Achieve more.
But because you may:
Serve more.
Teach more.
Encourage more.
Give more.
DON'T RETIRE FROM PURPOSE
You may retire from a:
Job.
You don't have to retire from being:
Useful.
RETIREMENT CAN CREATE MORE TIME FOR MINISTRY AND SERVICE
You might:
Volunteer.
Mentor.
Teach.
Serve your church.
Help your community.
Support family.
Build something meaningful.
YOUR PAYCHECK CAN STOP WITHOUT YOUR PURPOSE STOPPING
Never confuse the:
Two.
COMMUNITY MATTERS
Faith was never intended to be entirely:
Isolated.
You need other:
Believers.
Not perfect people.
Because you won't find:
Those.
YOU NEED PEOPLE WHO CAN:
Encourage you.
Pray with you.
Challenge you.
Teach you.
Support you.
HEBREWS 10:24–25 ENCOURAGES BELIEVERS TO GATHER AND ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER
Community matters.
CHURCH ISN'T ONLY ABOUT WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Ask:
Where can I:
Serve?
Who can I:
Encourage?
What can I:
Contribute?
STOP ONLY CONSUMING COMMUNITY.
HELP CREATE IT.
That's a different mindset.
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ALLOW TO SHAPE YOUR FAITH
Social media gives everyone a:
Microphone.
That doesn't mean everyone deserves your:
Attention.
TEST WHAT YOU HEAR
Read Scripture for:
Yourself.
Study.
Ask questions.
Use discernment.
DON'T BUILD YOUR ENTIRE FAITH ON SOMEBODY ELSE'S 30-SECOND VIDEO
Go deeper.
DIFFICULT SEASONS CAN DEEPEN FAITH
Nobody likes difficult:
Seasons.
But they often force us to ask questions comfortable seasons allow us to:
Ignore.
“DO I TRUST GOD ONLY WHEN LIFE MAKES SENSE?”
That's a difficult:
Question.
Because sometimes life doesn't make:
Sense.
YOU CAN HAVE FAITH AND STILL HAVE QUESTIONS
The Bible is filled with people asking:
Why?
How long?
Where are You?
QUESTIONS DON'T AUTOMATICALLY MEAN YOU HAVE NO FAITH
Sometimes questions are how faith becomes:
Deeper.
BRING YOUR QUESTIONS TO GOD
Don't pretend they don't:
Exist.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN GOD SEEMS SILENT?
This can be one of the hardest parts of:
Faith.
You pray.
Nothing seems to:
Change.
You pray again.
Still:
Nothing.
SILENCE DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN ABSENCE
Sometimes you don't know what God is:
Doing.
That's difficult because we want:
Answers.
Timelines.
Confirmation.
FAITH SOMETIMES MEANS TRUSTING WITHOUT HAVING THE ENTIRE EXPLANATION
That's not easy.
That's why it's called:
Faith.
UNANSWERED PRAYER CAN CHALLENGE YOU
Sometimes the answer isn't what you:
Wanted.
That doesn't mean you have to pretend you're not:
Disappointed.
YOU CAN BE DISAPPOINTED AND STILL TRUST GOD
Those things can exist:
Together.
DON'T TURN GOD INTO A TRANSACTION
“I prayed, therefore God must give me exactly what I requested.”
Relationship doesn't work like:
That.
PRAYER ISN'T A VENDING MACHINE
Faith isn't:
Insert prayer.
Select blessing.
Receive:
Outcome.
SOMETIMES PRAYER CHANGES THE SITUATION.
SOMETIMES PRAYER CHANGES YOU WHILE YOU'RE IN THE SITUATION.
Both matter.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH
What does health have to do with your relationship with:
God?
A lot.
Your health affects your ability to:
Serve.
Travel.
Help.
Work.
Spend time with family.
Fulfill responsibilities.
YOUR BODY IS PART OF YOUR STEWARDSHIP
That doesn't mean perfect:
Health.
You cannot control every:
Condition.
But you can make responsible choices with what you:
Can control.
TAKE CARE OF THE BODY CARRYING YOUR PURPOSE
Move.
Eat wisely.
Sleep.
Rest.
Get appropriate medical care.
DON'T WORSHIP HEALTH.
STEWARD IT.
There's a difference.
MONEY CAN REVEAL PRIORITIES TOO
Money isn't automatically:
Good.
Or:
Bad.
It's a:
Tool.
And how we use tools reveals:
Priorities.
ASK:
Am I financially:
Responsible?
Generous?
Prepared?
Content?
Am I constantly trying to impress:
People?
WEALTH WITHOUT PURPOSE CAN STILL FEEL EMPTY
Money can provide:
Options.
Security.
Experiences.
Opportunities.
But money cannot replace:
God.
LET MONEY SERVE YOUR PURPOSE
Not become your:
Purpose.
SUCCESS CAN DISTRACT YOU JUST AS MUCH AS FAILURE
When things are going badly...
we pray.
When everything starts going:
Great...
sometimes we get:
Busy.
DON'T ONLY SEEK GOD DURING EMERGENCIES
Stay connected during the:
Good seasons too.
BLESSINGS SHOULDN'T MAKE YOU FORGET THE SOURCE OF YOUR GRATITUDE
Remain:
Humble.
REMOVE SOME DISTRACTIONS
Maybe your spiritual growth isn't being stopped by something:
Evil.
Maybe you're simply:
Distracted.
Phone.
Television.
Work.
Social media.
Entertainment.
SOMETIMES THE BIGGEST ENEMY OF WHAT MATTERS MOST ISN'T SOMETHING BAD
It's too much of something:
Less important.
CHECK YOUR SCREEN TIME
Then compare it with your:
Prayer time.
Scripture time.
Family time.
Quiet time.
YOUR CALENDAR REVEALS PRIORITIES.
YOUR SCREEN TIME DOES TOO.
That can be uncomfortable.
But useful.
CREATE SACRED SPACE IN YOUR DAY
Maybe:
15 minutes.
30 minutes.
An hour.
The amount isn't as important as:
Consistency.
START SMALL ENOUGH THAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO IT
Five consistent minutes can become:
Ten.
Ten can become:
Twenty.
CONSISTENCY BEATS SPIRITUAL BURSTS
Reading the Bible for three hours once every six months isn't necessarily better than spending meaningful time in Scripture throughout the:
Week.
BUILD A ROUTINE YOU CAN MAINTAIN
That matters.
TRY THE COACH MARCUS 5–5–5 FAITH ROUTINE
If you're trying to restart your spiritual routine, begin with:
5 MINUTES — PRAY.
Talk honestly with:
God.
5 MINUTES — READ.
Read a passage of:
Scripture.
5 MINUTES — REFLECT.
Ask:
What did I learn?
What should I apply?
What am I grateful for?
15 MINUTES.
That's your:
Starting point.
Not your:
Ceiling.
AS THE HABIT GROWS, LET THE RELATIONSHIP GROW
Eventually you may want:
More time.
Let it happen:
Naturally.
ADD ONE ACT OF SERVICE
Every week ask:
“WHO CAN I HELP?”
Send a:
Message.
Make a:
Call.
Give.
Volunteer.
Encourage.
FAITH BECOMES POWERFUL WHEN IT LEAVES YOUR HEAD AND ENTERS YOUR LIFE
Put it into:
Action.
CREATE A PRAYER LIST
Include:
Family.
Health.
Finances.
Purpose.
Friends.
Community.
Leaders.
People who are struggling.
BUT DON'T ONLY PRAY FOR WHAT YOU WANT GOD TO CHANGE
Also pray:
“GOD, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE IN ME?”
That prayer can become:
Uncomfortable.
And transformational.
CREATE A GRATITUDE LIST
Every evening write three things you're grateful:
For.
They don't need to be:
Huge.
TRAIN YOURSELF TO NOTICE BLESSINGS
Gratitude becomes easier when you:
Practice.
READ ONE BOOK OF THE BIBLE SLOWLY
Instead of bouncing everywhere...
choose one.
Read it:
Slowly.
Study context.
Take:
Notes.
ASK FOUR QUESTIONS
What does this teach me about:
God?
What does this teach me about:
People?
What does this teach me about:
Myself?
What should I:
Do?
THAT LAST QUESTION MATTERS
Application turns learning into:
Living.
FIND A PLACE TO SERVE
Your:
Church.
Community.
Family.
Neighborhood.
Online community.
YOU DON'T NEED A TITLE TO HAVE A MINISTRY
Sometimes ministry is simply:
Helping somebody.
YOUR PLATFORM MAY BE SMALL
Your impact doesn't have to:
Be.
One person's life changed is still:
Impact.
DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU FEEL “QUALIFIED”
You have something to:
Give.
YOUR MISTAKES MAY ACTUALLY HELP YOU SERVE PEOPLE BETTER
Because now you understand:
Struggle.
Failure.
Recovery.
Grace.
YOUR SCARS CAN BECOME PART OF YOUR TESTIMONY
Not every scar needs to become:
Public.
But some may become:
Useful.
STOP TRYING TO LOOK PERFECT
Nobody believes:
Perfect anyway.
People connect with:
Real.
SPIRITUAL MATURITY SHOULD MAKE YOU MORE HUMBLE
Not more:
Arrogant.
If knowing more Scripture makes you look down on:
Others...
something has gone:
Wrong.
KNOWLEDGE SHOULD PRODUCE WISDOM.
WISDOM SHOULD PRODUCE HUMILITY.
HUMILITY SHOULD PRODUCE SERVICE.
That's growth.
BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF
You're not going to become spiritually mature:
Overnight.
You're building:
Habits.
Understanding.
Trust.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS A JOURNEY
Not a:
Competition.
STOP COMPARING YOUR FAITH TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S
Their:
Prayer life.
Bible knowledge.
Testimony.
Church involvement.
YOUR WALK IS YOUR WALK
Learn from others.
But walk with:
God yourself.
YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD TO GROW SPIRITUALLY
This matters.
Maybe you spent years:
Distracted.
Maybe faith wasn't your:
Priority.
Maybe you're returning after being away.
START TODAY
God doesn't need your perfect:
History.
He wants your present:
Heart.
THE SECOND HALF OF LIFE CAN BECOME YOUR DEEPEST SPIRITUAL SEASON
Think about what you now bring to the:
Relationship.
Experience.
Perspective.
Humility.
Questions.
Lessons.
YOU'VE LIVED ENOUGH LIFE TO KNOW YOU NEED MORE THAN YOURSELF
That realization can become:
Powerful.
FAITH • HEALTH • WEALTH • FREEDOM
These four areas are connected.
FAITH
gives your life:
Direction.
HEALTH
gives you greater capacity to fulfill your:
Purpose.
WEALTH
can give you resources and options to serve, give and create:
Impact.
FREEDOM
can give you more time to live according to what matters:
Most.
But faith belongs at the:
Foundation.
Because without purpose...
health, wealth and freedom can become accomplishments without:
Direction.
KNOW WHY YOU WANT THE LIFE YOU'RE BUILDING
Not just:
What.
Why.
MYTHS VS. FACTS
Myth: Getting older automatically makes you spiritually mature.
Fact: Spiritual maturity requires intentional growth, reflection, application and practice.
Myth: Prayer needs to sound impressive.
Fact: Christian prayer can be simple, honest and personal.
Myth: Reading more Scripture automatically means you're growing spiritually.
Fact: Knowledge matters, but Christian teaching also emphasizes applying what you learn.
Myth: Having questions means your faith is weak.
Fact: Questions and periods of uncertainty can be part of a person's spiritual development.
Myth: Strong faith means you'll never feel disappointed or afraid.
Fact: Faith and difficult emotions can exist together.
Myth: You need a church title to serve God.
Fact: Service can happen through ordinary acts of encouragement, generosity, mentoring and helping others.
Myth: Retirement means your most meaningful contribution is behind you.
Fact: Later adulthood can create new opportunities for mentoring, service, leadership and community involvement.
Myth: Taking care of yourself is selfish.
Fact: Responsible self-care can help you maintain the capacity to serve your family, community and purpose.
COACH MARCUS TAKEAWAYS
1. MAKE TIME FOR GOD.
Relationships require:
Time.
2. PRAY HONESTLY.
You don't need perfect:
Words.
3. READ AND APPLY SCRIPTURE.
Don't only:
Learn.
Live it.
4. PRACTICE GRATITUDE.
Notice what's still:
Good.
5. CREATE QUIET.
Not every moment needs:
Noise.
6. GET CONNECTED.
Faith grows in:
Community.
7. SERVE SOMEBODY.
Your experience has:
Value.
8. TRUST GOD THROUGH UNCERTAINTY.
You won't always understand the:
Plan.
9. STAY HUMBLE.
Spiritual growth should make you more:
Loving.
Not more:
Superior.
10. REMEMBER:
YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO GROW CLOSER TO GOD.
MY FINAL THOUGHT
After 50...
you begin realizing something:
There are fewer reasons to:
Pretend.
You know life can:
Change.
You know money doesn't solve:
Everything.
You know careers can:
End.
You know people can:
Leave.
You know your body doesn't last:
Forever.
And maybe that awareness isn't something to:
Fear.
Maybe it's an:
Invitation.
An invitation to become more intentional about what matters:
Most.
Because one day...
the:
Titles.
Cars.
Houses.
Followers.
Awards.
Business ranks.
Bank balances.
Won't matter nearly as much as we once thought they:
Did.
But the people we:
Loved...
The people we:
Helped...
The faith we:
Lived...
The example we:
Set...
The lives we:
Touched...
Those things can become part of our:
Legacy.
And maybe that's why your relationship with God becomes even more important in the second half of:
Life.
You're no longer simply asking:
“HOW CAN I BUILD A SUCCESSFUL LIFE?”
You begin asking:
“HOW CAN I BUILD A MEANINGFUL LIFE?”
That's a different:
Question.
You may have spent the first half of your life trying to:
Achieve.
Acquire.
Advance.
Provide.
Build.
Nothing wrong with:
That.
But perhaps the second half asks you to go:
Deeper.
To:
Serve.
Mentor.
Give.
Forgive.
Encourage.
Teach.
Love.
And grow closer to:
God.
You don't have to have every spiritual question:
Answered.
You don't have to understand every:
Scripture.
You don't have to pray:
Perfectly.
You don't have to erase every:
Doubt.
You simply have to keep:
Seeking.
Keep:
Learning.
Keep:
Praying.
Keep:
Serving.
Keep:
Growing.
Because a strong relationship with God isn't built in one emotional:
Moment.
It's built through thousands of ordinary moments when you choose to make room for:
Him.
A prayer before the day:
Starts.
A Scripture before the phone:
Scroll.
A quiet moment before the:
Noise.
A decision to forgive when bitterness would be:
Easier.
An act of service when nobody is:
Watching.
A thank-you when life is:
Good.
A prayer when life is:
Hard.
A decision to trust when you don't understand:
Why.
Those moments add:
Up.
And maybe one day you'll look back and realize...
the biggest transformation wasn't that every circumstance in your life:
Changed.
It was that:
YOU CHANGED.
Your faith became:
Deeper.
Your priorities became:
Clearer.
Your gratitude became:
Greater.
Your need to impress people became:
Smaller.
Your desire to serve became:
Stronger.
Your trust in God became:
Deeper.
And your understanding of purpose became:
Clearer.
That's growth.
So if you're over 50 and wondering whether it's too late to strengthen your relationship with:
God...
Absolutely:
Not.
Maybe you're right on:
Time.
Maybe the years ahead can become your most spiritually meaningful:
Years.
Maybe your greatest ministry hasn't:
Happened yet.
Maybe somebody still needs the wisdom God developed through your:
Story.
Maybe your next chapter isn't about becoming:
More impressive.
Maybe it's about becoming more:
Faithful.
More:
Useful.
More:
Grateful.
More:
Intentional.
More:
Connected to God.
Because eventually you discover:
SUCCESS WITHOUT PURPOSE CAN FEEL EMPTY.
FREEDOM WITHOUT DIRECTION CAN FEEL AIMLESS.
WEALTH WITHOUT MEANING CAN FEEL HOLLOW.
But when faith becomes the:
Foundation...
your health has:
Purpose.
Your wealth has:
Purpose.
Your freedom has:
Purpose.
And your remaining years have:
Direction.
So pray.
Read.
Listen.
Serve.
Connect.
Trust.
Grow.
And remember:
GOD ISN'T FINISHED WITH YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU TURNED 50.
Your age may tell you how long you've:
Lived.
It doesn't tell you how much purpose you have:
Left.
Getting older is automatic.
Growing spiritually is intentional.
DON'T JUST GET OLDER. GET BETTER AT IT.™

Day 75: How Do You Build a Stronger Relationship With God After 50? — Current Article
NEXT: DAY 76
Why Does Your Legacy Matter More After 50?
At some point...
you begin realizing that success isn't only about what you:
Accumulate.
It's also about what you:
Leave behind.
And I'm not only talking about:
Money.
Legacy is:
What you taught.
Who you helped.
How you loved.
What you stood for.
The example you:
Set.
The people you:
Mentored.
The values you passed:
Down.
Tomorrow we're going to ask a question that becomes increasingly important as we get older:
“WHAT DO I WANT PEOPLE TO REMEMBER ABOUT HOW I LIVED?”
We'll talk about:
Family.
Faith.
Money.
Mentorship.
Service.
Character.
Wisdom.
And why building a meaningful legacy doesn't require being:
Famous.
Because you don't need millions of people to know your:
Name.
Sometimes changing one:
Family...
one:
Team...
one:
Community...
or one:
Person...
can create an impact that continues long after you're:
Gone.
And perhaps one of the greatest opportunities after 50 is realizing:
