How Do You Discover What You Want the Next 20 Years of Your Life to Look Like?
After 50, You Don't Have to Simply Accept Whatever Comes Next. You Can Become More Intentional About Creating It.
By Coach Marcus Jones
When you're:
25...
twenty years sounds like:
Forever.
When you're:
50...
60...
or beyond...
you understand something very:
Different.
TWENTY YEARS CAN GO FAST.
Think about where you were twenty years:
Ago.
What were you:
Doing?
Where were you:
Living?
Who was around:
You?
What did you believe your future would:
Look like?
Now think about how quickly those years:
Passed.
That's why I believe one of the most important questions we can ask after 50 is:
“WHAT DO I WANT THE NEXT 20 YEARS OF MY LIFE TO LOOK LIKE?”
Not:
“What is probably going to happen to me?”
Not:
“What does society say somebody my age should do?”
Not:
“When should I start slowing down?”
But:
“IF GOD BLESSES ME WITH ANOTHER 20 YEARS, HOW DO I WANT TO LIVE THEM?”
That's a very different:
Question.
Because there's a big difference between simply:
Getting older...
and intentionally:
Living older.
Maybe you want to:
Travel.
Build a business.
Get healthier.
Strengthen your marriage.
Spend more time with family.
Become financially independent.
Serve more people.
Deepen your faith.
Write a book.
Learn something new.
Mentor the next generation.
Maybe you want all of:
Those.
The point isn't that everybody's next 20 years should look the:
Same.
The point is:
YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT YOU WANT YOURS TO LOOK LIKE.
Because without a vision...
it's easy to drift.
And after 50...
time becomes too valuable to spend the next 20 years:
Drifting.

QUICK ANSWER: HOW DO YOU DISCOVER WHAT YOU WANT THE NEXT 20 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE TO LOOK LIKE?
Start by giving yourself permission to:
Dream again.
Then get:
Specific.
Ask yourself:
How do I want to:
Live?
Feel?
Work?
Serve?
Give?
Travel?
Spend my time?
Who do I want around:
Me?
What do I want my relationship with God to look:
Like?
What do I want my body to still allow me to:
Do?
What level of financial freedom do I want to:
Create?
What experiences would I regret never:
Having?
What impact do I want to:
Make?
Then work backward.
Because a vision without action is simply a:
Wish.
FIRST, STOP ASSUMING YOUR BEST YEARS ARE BEHIND YOU
This is where the conversation has to:
Start.
Some people turn 50 and mentally begin:
Retiring from life.
They stop:
Dreaming.
Learning.
Taking risks.
Setting goals.
Trying new things.
DON'T LET YOUR AGE BECOME A PERMISSION SLIP TO STOP GROWING
You're older.
Yes.
That's:
Reality.
But older doesn't automatically mean:
Finished.
YOU MAY HAVE 20, 30 OR MORE YEARS AHEAD
None of us knows how much time we:
Have.
That's exactly why the time we do have should become more:
Intentional.
DON'T COUNT YOURSELF OUT BEFORE LIFE DOES
There may still be:
Businesses to build.
Places to visit.
People to meet.
Skills to learn.
Lives to impact.
Memories to create.
YOUR NEXT CHAPTER DOESN'T HAVE TO LOOK LIKE YOUR LAST ONE
This is especially important after a major:
Transition.
Retirement.
Job loss.
Children leaving home.
Relocation.
Divorce.
Business change.
Health challenge.
SOMETIMES WE KEEP TRYING TO RECREATE A LIFE THAT NO LONGER EXISTS
Instead...
ask:
“WHAT COULD MY LIFE BECOME FROM HERE?”
That's a much more powerful:
Question.
YOUR PAST GIVES YOU EXPERIENCE.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS.
You can choose something:
Different.
START WITH WHAT MATTERS NOW
Your priorities at 55 may be very different from your priorities at:
That's:
Okay.
At 25 you may have wanted:
Recognition.
At 55 you may value:
Peace.
At 30 you may have wanted the biggest:
House.
At 60 you may want fewer:
Responsibilities.
MATURITY CAN CHANGE YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS
That's not:
Giving up.
That's gaining:
Clarity.
ASK YOURSELF:
“WHAT DOES A GOOD LIFE MEAN TO ME NOW?”
Not twenty years:
Ago.
Now.
Maybe it's:
Faith.
Health.
Family.
Freedom.
Purpose.
Travel.
Financial security.
Service.
YOUR VISION SHOULD REFLECT YOUR CURRENT VALUES
Otherwise you're chasing goals created by a version of yourself who no longer:
Exists.
GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO DREAM AGAIN
Adults become very good at being:
Practical.
Bills.
Responsibilities.
Schedules.
Obligations.
SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY, WE STOP ASKING WHAT WE ACTUALLY WANT
Bring that question:
Back.
If money wasn't the immediate obstacle...
what would you want to:
Do?
Where would you want to:
Go?
What would you want to:
Learn?
Who would you want to:
Help?
DREAM FIRST.
EDIT LATER.
Don't kill the dream before you've even allowed yourself to:
Imagine it.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR HEALTH
This should be near the top of the:
List.
Because many of the other things you want require your body to cooperate.
DON'T ONLY ASK:
“How long do I want to live?”
Ask:
“HOW DO I WANT TO LIVE?”
There's a difference.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO AT 70?
Walk through an:
Airport?
Carry your own:
Luggage?
Play with grandchildren?
Hike?
Travel?
Get off the floor without help?
TRAIN FOR THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE
Exercise isn't only about looking good in a:
Mirror.
It's about maintaining:
Strength.
Mobility.
Endurance.
Balance.
Independence.
YOUR FUTURE BODY IS BEING INFLUENCED BY TODAY'S HABITS
Not completely controlled.
Genetics, illness and circumstances matter.
But your daily choices still:
Matter.
YOUR HEALTH PLAN SHOULD INCLUDE THE BASICS
Regular physical:
Activity.
Strength training when appropriate.
Nutritious food.
Adequate protein.
Sleep.
Stress management.
Preventive healthcare.
DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU LOSE FUNCTION TO START VALUING IT
Protect what you:
Can.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR FINANCES
Money isn't:
Everything.
But lack of money can limit:
Options.
That's why financial planning becomes especially important after:
ASK:
How much will I need to:
Live?
Travel?
Give?
Help family?
Handle healthcare expenses?
Enjoy retirement?
DON'T JUST PLAN FOR RETIREMENT.
PLAN FOR FREEDOM.
Those aren't necessarily the same:
Thing.
Retirement says:
“I stopped working.”
Freedom says:
“I HAVE CHOICES.”
That's what I'm interested:
In.
YOU MAY CHOOSE TO KEEP WORKING
Not because you:
Have to.
Because you:
Want to.
Maybe you:
Consult.
Build a business.
Create content.
Mentor.
Teach.
WORK CAN CHANGE WITHOUT PURPOSE DISAPPEARING
The goal doesn't necessarily have to be:
Doing nothing.
It may be:
Doing more of what matters.
MULTIPLE INCOME STREAMS CAN CREATE OPTIONS
Depending entirely on one source of income can create:
Risk.
Your future financial plan may include a combination of:
Retirement accounts.
Investments.
Social Security.
Business income.
Part-time income.
Rental income.
Other appropriate assets.
THE GOAL ISN'T TO CHASE EVERY INCOME IDEA
It's to create a financial structure appropriate for your:
Life.
FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS REALLY ABOUT CHOICE
Can you say:
No?
Can you leave something that isn't healthy?
Can you help somebody?
Can you take time:
Off?
MONEY IS MOST POWERFUL WHEN IT CREATES OPTIONS
That's:
Freedom.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
Who do you want beside you during the next:
20 years?
Your:
Spouse.
Children.
Grandchildren.
Friends.
Faith community.
RELATIONSHIPS DON'T STAY STRONG AUTOMATICALLY
They require:
Time.
Attention.
Conversation.
Forgiveness.
DON'T WAIT UNTIL RETIREMENT TO START ENJOYING THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE
Have the:
Dinner.
Take the:
Trip.
Make the:
Call.
Visit.
YOUR CALENDAR SHOULD REFLECT WHO MATTERS TO YOU
If somebody is important...
make room for:
Them.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR MARRIAGE
If you're married, ask:
What do we want our next chapter to look:
Like?
This matters.
Because couples sometimes spend decades raising children and building careers...
then reach retirement and realize they never created a shared:
Vision.
TALK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU GET THERE
Where do we want to:
Live?
How much do we want to:
Travel?
How will we spend our:
Days?
What are our financial:
Goals?
BUILD THE NEXT CHAPTER TOGETHER
Don't assume your spouse's vision is identical to:
Yours.
Talk.
CREATE A VISION FOR WHERE YOU LIVE
Do you want to stay where you:
Are?
Downsize?
Move closer to:
Family?
Live somewhere warmer?
Travel part of the:
Year?
YOUR HOUSE SHOULD SERVE YOUR LIFE
Not become something your life exists to:
Maintain.
That's an important distinction.
MORE HOUSE ISN'T ALWAYS MORE LIFE
Sometimes:
Less space.
Less maintenance.
Lower expenses.
can create:
More freedom.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR TIME
This may be one of the most important:
Questions.
If you didn't have to report to work tomorrow...
WHAT WOULD YOU ACTUALLY DO ALL DAY?
A lot of people never think about:
That.
RETIRING FROM SOMETHING ISN'T THE SAME AS RETIRING TO SOMETHING
You need something to wake up:
For.
Purpose.
People.
Projects.
Service.
Fitness.
Learning.
DESIGN YOUR DAYS BEFORE YOU DESIGN YOUR RETIREMENT
What would an ideal Tuesday look:
Like?
That's sometimes more useful than imagining one giant vacation.
LIFE IS MOSTLY TUESDAYS
Think about:
That.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR FAITH
What do you want your relationship with God to look like twenty years from:
Now?
Deeper?
More consistent?
More trusting?
DON'T LEAVE SPIRITUAL GROWTH TO CHANCE
Pray.
Study Scripture.
Serve.
Give.
Connect.
ASK:
“WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO WITH THE YEARS I HAVE LEFT?”
That's bigger than:
Retirement.
MAYBE YOUR NEXT 20 YEARS AREN'T ONLY ABOUT ENJOYMENT
Maybe they're also about:
Impact.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR PURPOSE
You may eventually lose your:
Job title.
That doesn't mean you lose your:
Purpose.
YOUR PURPOSE MAY ACTUALLY BECOME CLEARER AFTER YOUR CAREER
Because now you're not asking:
“What does my employer need?”
You're asking:
“WHAT DO I FEEL CALLED TO CONTRIBUTE?”
Maybe:
Mentoring.
Teaching.
Coaching.
Volunteering.
Ministry.
Entrepreneurship.
YOUR PURPOSE DOESN'T NEED A PAYCHECK
Purpose and income can overlap.
But they don't have:
To.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR EXPERIENCES
What haven't you done:
Yet?
Write the:
Book.
Visit the:
Country.
Take the:
Cruise.
Learn the:
Instrument.
Start the:
Business.
MAKE A “BEFORE I'M DONE” LIST
I prefer that over:
Bucket list.
Because you're not waiting to:
Die.
You're planning to:
Live.
WRITE 25 THINGS YOU STILL WANT TO EXPERIENCE
Don't worry about whether all 25 happen.
Start creating:
Possibility.
SOME DREAMS NEED A DATE
Otherwise they stay:
Someday.
And someday is dangerous.
“SOMEDAY” HAS KILLED A LOT OF DREAMS
Put something on the:
Calendar.
Start saving.
Book the:
Trip.
Take the:
Class.
CREATE A VISION FOR LEARNING
Your brain doesn't receive a retirement:
Notice.
Keep using:
It.
LEARN SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU UNCOMFORTABLE
Technology.
AI.
Language.
Investing.
Photography.
Music.
DON'T BECOME THE PERSON WHO SAYS:
“I'M TOO OLD TO LEARN THAT.”
That's a decision.
Not necessarily a:
Fact.
CURIOSITY KEEPS LIFE INTERESTING
The world is:
Changing.
Keep:
Learning.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION
Who do you want to:
Help?
This question becomes more powerful after:
YOU'VE ACCUMULATED DECADES OF KNOWLEDGE
Don't keep all of it to:
Yourself.
Teach.
Mentor.
Encourage.
YOUR EXPERIENCE CAN SHORTEN SOMEBODY ELSE'S LEARNING CURVE
That's:
Impact.
CREATE A VISION FOR YOUR LEGACY
Yesterday we talked about:
Legacy.
Today we put it into the future:
Plan.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BUILD THAT OUTLIVES YOU?
A stronger:
Family?
Business?
Ministry?
Community?
Financial foundation?
YOUR NEXT 20 YEARS CAN BE ABOUT PLANTING TREES YOU MAY NEVER SIT UNDER
That's a different definition of:
Success.
DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT LESS OF
Vision isn't only about:
Adding.
Sometimes it's about:
Removing.
WHAT DO YOU WANT LESS OF?
Stress?
Debt?
Clutter?
Drama?
Obligations?
Toxic relationships?
A BETTER LIFE ISN'T ALWAYS CREATED BY ADDING MORE
Sometimes it's created by carrying:
Less.
SIMPLIFYING CAN CREATE FREEDOM
Fewer:
Possessions.
Commitments.
Expenses.
Distractions.
can create more:
Time.
Energy.
Money.
DON'T CARRY YOUR ENTIRE OLD LIFE INTO YOUR NEW ONE
Some things have served their:
Purpose.
Release them.
YOUR NEXT CHAPTER MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT VERSION OF YOU
This is where vision gets:
Real.
You can create the perfect:
Plan.
But then ask:
“WHO DO I HAVE TO BECOME TO LIVE THAT LIFE?”
That's the bigger:
Question.
IF YOU WANT BETTER HEALTH...
you may need more:
Discipline.
If you want financial:
Freedom...
you may need different spending and investing:
Habits.
If you want stronger:
Relationships...
you may need to become more:
Present.
THE FUTURE YOU WANT MAY REQUIRE HABITS THE CURRENT YOU DOESN'T HAVE YET
That's okay.
Habits can be:
Built.
STOP WAITING TO FEEL READY
You'll probably never feel completely:
Ready.
Take the:
Step.
TURN 20 YEARS INTO FIVE-YEAR CHAPTERS
Twenty years can feel:
Huge.
Break it:
Down.
YEARS 1–5
What needs to be:
Built?
Maybe:
Health.
Debt reduction.
Investments.
Business.
YEARS 6–10
What do you want to:
Expand?
Travel?
Income?
Service?
YEARS 11–15
What might you want to:
Simplify?
Work?
Housing?
Responsibilities?
YEARS 16–20
What do you want life to feel:
Like?
Peaceful?
Active?
Purposeful?
Connected?
YOU DON'T NEED TO PREDICT EVERYTHING
Life will:
Change.
The plan should be flexible.
A VISION IS A COMPASS.
IT ISN'T A PRISON.
Adjust when necessary.
NOW BRING IT CLOSER
Twenty-year vision.
Five-year plan.
One-year goals.
90-day priorities.
Today's:
Actions.
THAT'S HOW A FUTURE BECOMES REAL
You bring it into:
Today.
YOUR FUTURE IS BUILT IN ORDINARY DAYS
Your next 20 years won't be built twenty years from:
Now.
They're being built:
Today.
THE WALK YOU TAKE TODAY MATTERS.
The money you invest today:
Matters.
The relationship you strengthen today:
Matters.
The skill you learn today:
Matters.
TODAY IS WHERE YOUR FUTURE LIVES
Remember:
That.
TRY THE COACH MARCUS NEXT 20 FRAMEWORK
Take a notebook and create eight:
Sections.
FAITH
How do I want my relationship with God to:
Grow?
HEALTH
What do I want my body to allow me to:
Do?
WEALTH
What level of financial security and freedom do I want?
FREEDOM
How do I want control over my time to:
Look?
FAMILY
Who do I want to spend more time:
With?
PURPOSE
Who do I want to:
Serve?
EXPERIENCES
What do I still want to:
Do?
LEGACY
What do I want to leave:
Behind?
FAITH → HEALTH → WEALTH → FREEDOM → FAMILY → PURPOSE → EXPERIENCES → LEGACY
Now write your vision.
DON'T WRITE WHAT SOUNDS IMPRESSIVE
Write what actually matters to:
You.
This isn't for social:
Media.
It's for your:
Life.
CREATE YOUR “AGE 75” LETTER
If you're:
55...
imagine yourself at:
Write a letter from your future self back to your current:
Self.
DESCRIBE YOUR LIFE
Where do you:
Live?
How do you:
Feel?
Who is around:
You?
What are you proud:
Of?
THEN ASK:
“WHAT DID I HAVE TO START DOING AT 55 TO CREATE THAT LIFE AT 75?”
There's your:
Plan.
CREATE YOUR STOP-DOING LIST
Write five things you need to stop:
Doing.
Maybe:
Overspending.
Procrastinating.
Neglecting health.
Comparing yourself.
SOMETIMES THE NEXT LEVEL ISN'T ABOUT WHAT YOU START
It's about what you:
Stop.
CREATE YOUR START-DOING LIST
What needs to begin:
Now?
Strength training?
Investing?
Saving?
Prayer?
Travel planning?
THEN PICK THREE
Not:
Three.
TOO MANY GOALS CAN BECOME ANOTHER FORM OF PROCRASTINATION
Focus.
GIVE YOUR DREAMS NUMBERS
“I want financial freedom.”
Okay.
What does that:
Mean?
“I want to travel.”
How often?
“I want better health.”
Measured:
How?
CLARITY MAKES ACTION EASIER
Vague goals create vague:
Plans.
DON'T FORGET JOY
This matters.
Your next 20 years shouldn't become one giant:
Self-improvement project.
Live.
Laugh.
Eat good food.
Travel.
Spend time with people you:
Love.
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO ENJOY WHAT YOU'VE BUILT
Life isn't only about:
Productivity.
BUILD A LIFE YOU DON'T CONSTANTLY NEED A VACATION FROM
That's another kind of:
Freedom.
FAITH • HEALTH • WEALTH • FREEDOM
These four pillars become especially important when planning your next chapter.
FAITH
helps answer:
Why am I here?
HEALTH
helps determine what your body may allow you to:
Do.
WEALTH
creates financial resources and:
Options.
FREEDOM
gives you greater control over how you spend your:
Time.
PUT THEM TOGETHER
And you begin creating something bigger than:
Retirement.
You begin creating an intentional:
Life.
MYTHS VS. FACTS
Myth: After 50, it's too late to create a completely different life.
Fact: People continue changing careers, businesses, lifestyles, relationships, habits and priorities throughout adulthood.
Myth: Retirement should mean doing nothing.
Fact: Some people find meaning through continued work, volunteering, entrepreneurship, learning, caregiving, travel and community involvement.
Myth: Your future should look like everybody else's.
Fact: Your ideal next chapter depends on your health, finances, relationships, values and priorities.
Myth: You need the entire next 20 years figured out.
Fact: A long-term vision can provide direction while remaining flexible as circumstances change.
Myth: Money should be the only retirement goal.
Fact: Financial security matters, but relationships, health, purpose, faith and meaningful activity can also strongly influence quality of life.
Myth: You're too old to learn something completely new.
Fact: Learning can continue throughout adulthood, although the way people learn and the time required may change.
Myth: You should wait until retirement to start living your dream life.
Fact: Many meaningful experiences can be incorporated into your life now rather than postponed indefinitely.
COACH MARCUS TAKEAWAYS
1. DREAM AGAIN.
You're not too:
Old.
2. DEFINE WHAT A GOOD LIFE MEANS NOW.
Your priorities can:
Change.
3. BUILD YOUR HEALTH.
Train for the life you want to:
Live.
4. CREATE FINANCIAL OPTIONS.
Freedom is about:
Choice.
5. INVEST IN RELATIONSHIPS.
Don't postpone the people who:
Matter.
6. KEEP LEARNING.
Stay:
Curious.
7. DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE.
Know who you want to:
Help.
8. CREATE EXPERIENCES.
Don't leave everything for:
Someday.
9. BUILD YOUR LEGACY.
Create something that can outlive:
You.
10. REMEMBER:
YOUR NEXT 20 YEARS ARE BEING BUILT TODAY.
MY FINAL THOUGHT
If somebody asked you right now:
“WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR LIFE TO LOOK LIKE 20 YEARS FROM TODAY?”
Could you:
Answer?
Not perfectly.
But could you describe:
It?
Because if you can't...
maybe today is the day to start:
Thinking.
Not because you can control the:
Future.
You can't.
None of us:
Can.
But there's a huge difference between controlling the future and preparing intentionally for:
It.
Twenty years from now...
you may not care how many:
Likes
you received today.
You probably won't care about most of the things currently irritating:
You.
You may not remember the argument.
The traffic.
The comment somebody made.
But you may care deeply about whether you took care of your:
Health.
Whether you prepared financially.
Whether you stayed connected to your:
Family.
Whether you traveled while you were able.
Whether you strengthened your:
Faith.
Whether you used your gifts.
Whether you helped:
People.
Whether you actually:
Lived.
That's why this question:
Matters.
WHAT DO YOU WANT THE NEXT 20 YEARS TO LOOK LIKE?
Maybe you want to be:
Strong at 75.
Traveling at:
Still building at:
Mentoring at:
Maybe you want financial freedom.
Maybe you want mornings without an alarm:
Clock.
Maybe you want to spend more time with your:
Wife.
Children.
Grandchildren.
Maybe you want to sit somewhere beautiful and realize:
“I BUILT A LIFE I ACTUALLY ENJOY LIVING.”
That's worth planning:
For.
But here's the part people sometimes:
Miss.
That life doesn't start at:
It starts:
Today.
Every decision is a:
Vote.
The workout.
The investment.
The prayer.
The conversation.
The new skill.
The trip you finally plan.
The relationship you repair.
The business you start.
The thing you finally stop:
Doing.
They're all votes for the person you're becoming.
And maybe that's one of the biggest advantages of getting:
Older.
You finally know enough about life to stop chasing things that don't:
Matter.
You understand:
Time matters.
Health matters.
Relationships matter.
Peace matters.
Purpose matters.
Faith matters.
Freedom matters.
And maybe you're finally ready to build your life around those:
Things.
Your next 20 years don't have to look like your last:
You can:
Change direction.
Simplify.
Build.
Travel.
Learn.
Serve.
Give.
Love.
Create.
You can decide:
“I'M NOT FINISHED.”
Not because you're trying to pretend you're:
You're not.
And you don't need to:
Be.
You have something your 25-year-old self didn't:
Have.
Experience.
Perspective.
Lessons.
Wisdom.
Maybe even more:
Courage.
Because you've already survived enough to know that failure isn't the end of the:
World.
So use what you've:
Learned.
Take the wisdom from the first half of your life...
and use it to design the:
Next.
Don't drift into your future.
Walk toward it:
Intentionally.
With:
Faith.
Health.
Wealth.
Freedom.
Purpose.
Family.
Experiences.
And legacy.
You don't know exactly how many years you have:
Left.
Neither do:
I.
That's not a reason to be:
Afraid.
It's a reason to stop:
Waiting.
Start the:
Plan.
Make the:
Call.
Take the:
Trip.
Build the:
Body.
Strengthen the:
Marriage.
Invest the:
Money.
Start the:
Business.
Write the:
Book.
Serve the:
People.
Deepen your:
Faith.
Because someday...
you may look back on this season and realize:
THIS WASN'T THE BEGINNING OF THE END.
IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NEXT GREAT CHAPTER.
Getting older is automatic.
Designing your future is intentional.
DON'T JUST GET OLDER. GET BETTER AT IT.™

WEEK 11
Day 75: How Do You Build a Stronger Relationship With God After 50?
Day 76: Why Does Your Legacy Matter More After 50?
Day 77: How Do You Discover What You Want the Next 20 Years of Your Life to Look Like? — Current Article
NEXT: DAY 78
Why Is It Important to Keep Learning as You Get Older?
One of the most dangerous phrases we can start using after:
50...
is:
“I'M TOO OLD TO LEARN THAT.”
Technology changes.
Business changes.
Money changes.
Communication changes.
The world:
Changes.
And if we're going to continue growing...
we have to continue:
Learning.
Tomorrow we'll talk about why curiosity can become one of your greatest advantages after 50 and how continuing to learn can help you:
Stay mentally engaged.
Develop new skills.
Adapt to technology.
Create new income opportunities.
Build confidence.
Connect with different generations.
And discover interests you didn't know you:
Had.
Because your education didn't end when you left:
School.
And your ability to grow didn't expire when you turned:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING.
YOU JUST HAVE TO REMAIN WILLING TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW.
Your next opportunity may be sitting on the other side of a skill you haven't learned:
Yet.
And that's where we're going:
Next.
